The University of Indianapolis offers a joint five-year engineering program with IUPUI. Upon completion of the program, candidates receive a bachelor's degree in physics from the University of Indianapolis and a bachelor's degree in engineering from Purdue University (IUPUI). At present, we can coordinate the following engineering programs: mechanical, electrical and computer engineering. We are also working on developing and coordinating a new engineering program in biomedical engineering.
In the first year, students enroll with a full load of coursework at the University of Indianapolis. During this year, you can become acclimated to the college lifestyle and take foundational coursework. Starting in your second and continuing in your third year, you are scheduled to take one class a semester on the IUPUI campus through the CUE consortium agreement.
This agreement allows students from any member campus to take one course per semester at other member campuses. During the first three years of the program, you will be enrolled as a full-time student at the University of Indianapolis. During the last two years of the program, you will be enrolled as a full-time at IUPUI, but will continue to take one course per semester through the CUE consortium agreement on the University of Indianapolis campus.
The five year timespan will allow you to complete the requirements of both the bachelor's of physics and bachelor's of engineering degrees.
